Dalam Indonesia · Since 2026
Scuba Diving · Breathwork · Kirtan · Somatic Movement
Transformational liveaboard retreats in the Indonesian archipelago.
What This Is
For 10 days, we live on a traditional Indonesian phinisi sailing through some of the most biodiverse waters on earth. We dive three times a day. We breathe deeply at sunrise on deck. We move our bodies in ways that release what words cannot reach. We sing together under stars with no horizon.
You will go places in the ocean — and in yourself — that you didn't know existed.
Every element is designed to work together. The diving opens you. The breathwork integrates what the depth stirs up. The kirtan and movement process what emerges at night. By day five, people surprise themselves.

The Method
At 18 meters, your nervous system resets. The chatter stops. You are present in a way nothing on land produces. We use that state deliberately — diving in the morning, integrating in the afternoon, processing with the group at night.
Breathwork primes you before each dive. Somatic movement and kirtan unlock what the depth stirs up. The group holds what surfaces. Over ten days, the pattern compounds — each dive and each session builds on the last.
Daily Rhythm
06:00
45 minutes on the upper deck as the boat drifts through glassy water. Set the nervous system for the day ahead.
07:00
Fresh local food prepared by the boat's chef. Time to be quiet, journal, or watch the ocean wake up.
08:00
Briefing, entry, 50–60 minutes in the water. Your dive instructor in with you. Back on deck by 10:30.
11:00
30 minutes. What did you notice? Share or stay silent — both welcome. A journaling prompt to hold the experience.
12:30
Often the best dive of the day. Stronger sites, deeper presence. Back by 14:30.
14:30
The afternoon moves slowly on purpose. Eat, nap, read, float.
16:00
60–75 minutes. No performance. No choreography. Just your body, the boat rocking, and permission to feel what's here.
17:30
Sunset watching. Journaling. Swimming. Silence. Or a third dive for those who want it.
19:00
Long table, real conversation. The kind that only happens when you've spent the day at depth together.
20:30
Rotating: group kirtan, cacao ceremony, sharing circle, sound bath, fire ceremony on the beach. The container closes the day.

Your Guide
I'm a French diving instructor living in Bali. I've spent years underwater in Indonesia, and I know what the ocean does to people who give it their full attention.
I built Dalam Indonesia because I wanted retreats that go as deep as the dives. Breathwork and kirtan aren't add-ons here — they're integral to the same experience. Every element of the program is designed to work together.
I lead the diving. A co-facilitator joins each trip for the breathwork and somatic work. Small groups. Close attention. No spectators.

Questions
Do I need to be an experienced diver?
Open Water certification (PADI, SSI, or equivalent) is all you need. We do a skills refresh on day one if it's been a while. More experienced divers will find the sites equally rewarding — the depth of experience here is not about technical level.
Can I come if I've never done breathwork or kirtan?
Yes — and most guests haven't. No background, no beliefs, no previous experience required. Everything is explained and invitation-based. You participate at whatever level feels right.
What is the boat like?
A traditional Indonesian phinisi — the iconic two-masted wooden sailing vessel. Private cabins with air-conditioning, a shared salon, a large open upper deck for ceremonies, breathwork, and sunsets. Think: beautiful, soulful, not a hotel.
How many people per trip?
8 to 10 guests maximum. We keep it intentionally small so every person gets real attention — in the water and in the group process.
What languages are spoken?
English and French. The retreat runs bilingually whenever French speakers are present. All written materials are available in both languages.
Is this physically demanding?
Moderate. The diving is suitable for recreational Open Water divers. The wellness programming is invitation-based — you set your own level. The main requirement is a willingness to show up fully.
What is the cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable but transferable to another trip date within 12 months. The balance is refundable up to 60 days before departure. We strongly recommend travel insurance.
Where do I fly into?
For Komodo trips: fly to Labuan Bajo (LBJ) — direct flights from Bali (45 min). For Raja Ampat: fly to Sorong (SOQ) via Makassar or Jakarta. We send all logistics and transfer details after booking.
